Nova Southeastern University to Host Open House and Free Education Seminar at its Miami Location
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host a special Education Expo during its March 31 Open House at its Miami Student Educational Center (SEC). The Expo will include a free seminar on “How Will the Education Changes in Florida Effect You, Your School, and Your District?” The Open House will run from 9:30 am to noon.
Teen Cancer Survivor Hosts “For Hair’s Sake” Benefit at NSU on Sun. March 18 to Collect Ponytails
19-year-old cancer survivor and NSU biology major Lesly Viera wants to give back to other teens and young adults affected by cancer. So despite carrying a full course load at NSU, she started and continues to run Locks for a Cause – a student organization that raises funds for cancer research. On Sunday, March 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the group will host its second annual “For Hair’s Sake” cut-a-thon to raise funds for cancer research and collect ponytails for Locks of Love, a non-profit that creates high-quality wigs for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy or a medical condition.

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host an Education Expo during its March 3 Open House at its Orlando Student Educational Center (SEC). The Expo will include a grant writing workshop. The Open House and workshop will run from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host an Education Expo on March 8 to be held at the British Colonial Hilton Hotel from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The Expo will include a free seminar for teachers of mathematics, educators interested in integrating journal writing in the math curriculum, school decision makers responsible for mathematics curriculum, as well as school administrators and teachers involved n the practice of the integrated curriculum.
