Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler School of Education Granted National Accreditation by NCATE
Nova Southeastern University (NSU) President and Chief Executive Officer George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., has announced that the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) recently granted accreditation without qualifications to NSU’s Abraham S. Fischler School of Education. Hanbury said that in addition to NSU’s regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), this means NSU’s education programs have been vetted at the highest levels for quality and the ability to produce effective, high-achieving educators.
NSU Library Hosts World Premiere of “Alice in Dali-land” Surrealist Shadow-Puppet Performance
Lewis Carroll’s classic “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” has been re-imagined many times, but never quite like the surrealist shadow puppet story that is “Alice in Dali-Land: A Cano / Hammond Puppetry World Premiere.” NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library will be hosting the special, FREE one-time performance on Saturday, April 28 from 2 to 3 p.m. as a part of its ongoing Ferro Fine Arts Series.

NSU to Host Violence Knows No Boundaries Conference, May 4
NSU and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) will host the Violence Knows No Boundaries conference on May 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Carl DeSantis Building’s Knight Auditorium. The conference will raise awareness about sex crimes and sexual offenders, outlining the nature and extent of issues related to sex crimes.

Listed as one of the “Best Schools for Bar Exam Preparation,” the Law Center placed 10th among 85 law schools.
