NSU Announces Appointment of Preston Jones, D.B.A., as Huizenga Business School Interim Dean

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. –  Nova Southeastern University (NSU) today announced that Preston Jones, D.B.A. (doctorate in business administration), has been appointed as interim dean of the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.

The announcement was made this morning after D. Michael Fields, Ph.D., announced that he would be leaving NSU in order to attend to family matters. The announcements were made concurrently to ensure a seamless transition; Jones will assume his new responsibilities as interim dean effective immediately.

Jones most recently served as executive associate dean of academic affairs for the Huizenga Business School, a post he has held for 7 years. Since joining NSU 20 years ago, he has also served as associate dean, director of graduate programs and director of the Center for Entrepreneurship, among other leadership positions.

Jones is also a professor, with considerable expertise in teaching to adult learners across the world and creating customized curricula. Jones’s distinguished career includes a variety of leadership roles.
