More and more people are downloading applications or ‘apps’ to their cell phones to help manage their health, and in less than five years it is predicted that 50 percent of smartphone owners will have downloaded mobile health apps.

These developments have not gone unnoticed by Nova Southeastern University (NSU) Research Fellow Zaher Hajar, PharmD. Recently, Hajar, who is based at the College of Pharmacy (COP) Center for Consumer Health Informatics Research, assembled a team of clinicians and coders in response to an international app challenge by Microsoft and Health 2.0.

NSU President Appoints Linda Niessen Dean of the College of Dental Medicine

NSU Bonds Upgraded by Moody’s to Baa1 From Baa2 with a positive outlook

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) announced today that Moody’s Investors Service has upgraded the long-term rating of the university’s bonds to Baa1 from Baa2 with a positive outlook. According to the announcement made by Moody’s on July 16, 2013, “[t]he rating upgrade is driven by the university’s consistently positive operating performance and, reduced liquidity risk due to debt structure modifications.”


NSU Business School Partners With EdLink Network

Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship recently announced its partnership with EdLink, the nation’s largest provider of outsourced tuition management services. The new partnership will provide students in EdLink’s extensive network of corporate clients access to NSU’s bachelor’s and master’s degree programs at a reduced rate.
