Jacksonville SEC to Host Open House, March 23

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host an Open House on March 23 at its Jacksonville Student Educational Center (SEC).  The Open House, which is free and open to the public, will provide information about the various health, education, business, and psychology programs that NSU Jacksonville offers, as well as host a guest speaker on the topic, “Learn, Engage, Act!”

“This is a great opportunity for attendees to receive information about the various bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, and doctoral programs which NSU Jacksonville offers. We also expect our guess speaker, J. Benjamin Warner, to provide prospective students with a wealth of information to benefit their academic and professional lives,” said Katherine M. Sandusky, director of NSU’s Jacksonville Student Educational Center.

J. Benjamin Warner, M.S.W., is the President & CEO of the Jacksonville Community Council Inc. (JCCI). He has been at JCCI since 1998, serving most recently as the organization’s Vice President before becoming the organization’s fourth executive leader since 1975. Mr. Warner is also the past president of the National Association of Planning Councils (NAPC) and was inaugural president of the international Community Indicators Consortium. He currently serves as a consultant with Community Works, assisting multiple communities around the world in the creation of community-based public policy organizations and the development of community indicators.

Attendees at the Open House can expect admissions counselors to be on hand answering questions on scholarships, grants, the financial aid process, admission requirements and deadlines.

NSU’s Jacksonville SEC is located at 6675 Corporate Center Parkway, Jacksonville, Florida 32216. The Open House is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. For additional information call (904) 245-8910 or email nsu-jacksonville@nova.edu. To RSVP go http://www.nova.edu/sec/jacksonville.
