NSU Students Host “Stand Up for Japan: A Comedy Jam” to Raise Funds for Earthquake & Tsunami Victims

South Florida comedians are joining forces with students from Nova Southeastern University to raise laughs and funds, and show their support for the victims of the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan with the “Stand Up for Japan: A Comedy Jam” benefit on Monday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m.


NSU Students Organize Candlelight Vigil to Show Ongoing Support for Victims of Japan’s Earthquake & Tsunami – Thurs. March 31

To show their ongoing support for the victims of the devastating earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis in Japan, Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) students are hosting a candlelight vigil this Thursday, March 31, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Gold Circle Lake (behind the Alvin Sherman Library) on NSU’s Main Campus at 3301 College Ave. in Davie.


NSU to Hold Candlelight Vigil Thurs. March 31 in Response to Japan’s Earthquake

NSU, through its Office of International Affairs and the Nova International Student Association (NISA) and other student led organizations and faculty on campus, is working closely with the Consulate General of Japan in Miami to coordinate relief efforts. A candlelight vigil is being held this Thursday, March 31, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Gold Circle Lake (behind the Alvin Sherman Library). Students, faculty and staff will share poems, songs and hear stories from NSU Japanese students who were affected by the earthquake. Monetary donations will be collected at the vigil and donated to the Relief Fund at the Japanese Consulate.
