Nova Southeastern University (NSU) will host its seventh annual “A Day for Children” health fair on Sunday, September 13 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., on the grounds in front of the Alvin Sherman Library on NSU’s main campus in Davie. The fair is free and open to the public.
“The health fair is a fun-filled day which focuses on free health care for children ages birth to 15 years. It includes screenings for medical, speech, behavior and dental health as well as physical and occupational therapy,” said Ronnie Oller, event chairperson.

Nova Southeastern University’s Black Heritage Council will celebrate Black History Month with a salute to the woman known as the prominent voice in the Haitian American community and to the man referred to by his peers as the turnaround principal in Broward County.
The Fourth Annual Carrie P. Meek Outstanding Education Leadership Achievements Awards will honor Gepsie Metellus, director of the Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center, and Ramon Dawkins, principal of Sunland Park Elementary School.
