Learn about DAIS at AcademicFest, Oct. 29
Don’t miss the first in a series of AcademicFests designed to boost your NSU pride, and give you insider’s knowledge that will increase your “NSU IQ.”
NSU faculty and staff are invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch, and learn more about NSU’s newest division – the Division of Applied Interdisciplinary Studies (DAIS), which includes:
- Center for Psychological Studies
- Criminal Justice Institute
- Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences
- Human Services Unit
- Mailman Segal Institute for Early Childhood Studies.
The concept of the AcademicFest series originated from the university’s Communications Task Force. Feedback from the Gallup Surveys and the Chancellor’s Town Hall meetings show that NSU’s faculty and staff had a need and desire to learn more about our university. AcademicFest will offer a series of open houses which will feature specific colleges or divisions.
You are encouraged to visit the Mailman Segal Institute any time between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Oct. 29. Shuttle buses will be provided from several main campus venues, the North Miami Beach Campus, the Oceanographic Center and East Campus. Those requiring use of the shuttles must RSVP by Oct. 21.
Parking on main campus is limited, therefore those who are commuting by car are asked to park in the UPP parking lot.
Mark your calendar for Friday, Oct. 29 – enjoy a complimentary lunch, chat with colleagues and register for raffle prizes at the AcademicFest!
RSVPs are required: contact Felecia Henderson at fhenders@nova.edu.
