Next Promethean Theatre Production to Feature NSU Students, Faculty

Center: Mark Duncan, M.F.A., associate professor and assistant director of the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences Division of Performing and Visual Arts, is performing in Boeing-Boeing with undergraduate student Monica Herrera (right).

Boeing-Boeing is the next production to be showcased at NSU from the award-winning The Promethean Theatre, in partnership with the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences. Performances of Boeing-Boeing, a Resident Series event, will take place at NSU Jan. 13–29, 2012 in the Black Box Theatre of the College’s Performing and Visual Arts Wing in the Don Taft University Center.

The cast will include a trio of performers from the College: undergraduate student Monica Herrera, alumna Lauren Butler, and Mark Duncan, M.F.A., associate professor and assistant director of the College’s Division of Performing and Visual Arts.

Originally by Marc Camoletti and adapted by Beverley Cross, Boeing-Boeing is the uproarious, jet-propelled comedy that had audiences and critics cheering in London and on Broadway in a 2008 Tony-winning production. This 1960’s French farce features self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard, who has international fiancées—all beautiful airline hostesses with frequent layovers. Bernard keeps “one up, one down, and one pending” until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to his apartment at the same time.

Showtimes:
Fridays | 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays | 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Sundays | 3:00 p.m.

Tickets for Boeing-Boeing are $10 for NSU students (at the door, day of show only, if available), $15 for all other students, $25 for seniors, and $30 for general admission. For more information or to purchase tickets, call (866) 811-4111 or email info@theprometheantheatre.org.
