At NSU, student-athletes are not “dumb jocks” who are only motivated to excel in sports; our athletes are equally committed to academic excellence.

After Women’s Swimming posted a 3.22 GPA for the spring semester, they were recognized as a Scholar All-American Team by the  College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

“Our women’s team works hard all season to not only excel in the pool but especially in the classroom,” said head coach Hollie Bonewit-Cron. “They have come together to ensure academic success all year long, and I am proud they have received the designation as a team for Scholar All-American.” Click here to see Full release

NSU also had three student-athletes from the Rowing Team named National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). Amanda Hudon, Victoria Porretti and Adrianna Rosario earned this honor after finishing the fall 2015 semester with cumulative GPAs of 3.5 or higher.
