Three Rowers Receive CRCA Scholar-Athlete Honors
The No. 6 Nova Southeastern rowing team saw Adrianna Rosario, Amanda Hudon and Victoria Porretti named National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).
The three Sharks earned this honor after finishing the fall 2015 semester with cumulative GPAs of 3.5 or higher. Other requirements set by the CRCA are that the student be in their second, third or fourth year of eligibility, competed in 75 percent of the team’s events and have met all institutional eligibility requirements.
“We are very proud of the recognition that Victoria, Adrianna and Amanda have earned from the CRCA,” said head coach Heather Barney. “The National Scholar-Athlete award is a testament to the hard work that they put in both in the classroom and on the water. They exemplify the true spirit of the NSU student-athlete.”
