Two Optometry Students Accepted to Elite Program

Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry students Jana Wegrzyn and Edgar Ekure were accepted into the 2013 Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry Future Faculty Program. The Future Faculty Program is designed to address the unique and important issues that graduate students face as they embark on a career in optometric education.  Wegrzyn and Ekure are students in the Master of Science in Clinical Vision Research (MSCVR) program at the College.

Funded by a grant from Walmart, the program is offered to 15 graduate students, and held in conjunction with ASCO’s Summer Institute for Faculty Development. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time graduate program at an ASCO member institution and demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career in academic optometry.

The College is extremely proud of Wegrzyn and Ekure’s achievements.
