NSU President Speaks at Distance Learning Conference
NSU President George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., was one of the speakers at the Florida Distance Learning Association’s fall conference from Oct. 15 – 16. Sponsored by NSU, the conference was held at NSU’s Orlando Student Educational Center. Hanbury delivered opening remarks. The conference featured sessions on topics such as innovative uses for distance learning, basic web design tools, online presentations for low-level and reluctant readers, using copyright in education, multimedia projects, Google Earth green screen adventures, technology grant funding in education, IT governance for K-12, the globally connected classroom, and much more. The keynote speaker was Michael Simonson, Ph.D., program professor in instructional technology and distance education at NSU’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services.
