Huizenga School’s Assistant Dean Celebrates Milestones

Joe and Carol Pineda

Friends and colleagues of Joseph Pineda, Assistant Dean of External Affairs for the Huizenga Business School, gathered on Jan. 27 to celebrate Pineda’s 75th birthday and the commencement of his 14th year of service at NSU.

Pineda has been serving the Huizenga Business School and NSU throughout the years with enthusiasm and passion. He has been instrumental in the school’s development goals, including hosting fundraising events and working with major donors and the corporate community for its capital campaign.

In addition to his development efforts, Pineda counsels students with untiring commitment and spends countless hours representing NSU within the South Florida community and across the nation.

Guests enjoyed birthday cakes presented to Pineda by Huizenga Business School students Jeremy and Joshua Mathis. The twins’ grandmother baked the cakes specifically for the occasion. Pineda gave special recognition to Carol, his wife of 43 years, and expressed gratitude for her many years of love, support, and understanding.
