Huizenga School Professor Speaks in Xi’an, China
During the week of June 4-12, 2013, H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship Professor Bahaudin G. Mujtaba was invited by the School of Management at the Xi’an Jiaotong University to conduct research with Han Ping and to speak on the following topics to master and doctoral students at the university: “The Role of Management Expectation or the Pygmalion Effect in Motivating Employees toward High Performance” and “A Cross-Cultural Analysis of Management Skills.”
Mujtaba and Ping have published several papers on management skills of Chinese managers and are currently finalizing their research on “Changes in the Bargaining Power of Chinese Migrant Workers” for publication.
As part of the trip, Mujtaba was invited to facilitate a two-day workshop for corporate managers in Shanghai, China, on “Forecasting and Strategic Market Analysis.” The managers attending the forecasting workshop came from a variety of firms such as Coca Cola, Pfizer, General Motors, Adidas, Allergan, Vale Minerals, Ym, Voith, and others.
