Huizenga Sales Institute Honors Inaugural Class

In honor of the students who recently completed a sales program at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, the faculty, staff and executive administrators hosted a Sales Student Recognition Reception on Monday, Apr. 23 in the Huizenga Sales Institute’s Grand Room. Approximately 40 undergraduate and graduate sales students were presented with a certificate of recognition, and given an opportunity to network with key employers from South Florida’s leading sales companies.

Special business guests in attendance included: Wayne Huizenga, Huizenga Business School namesake, benefactor and renowned entrepreneur; Preston Jones, D.B.A., interim dean of the Huizenga Business School; David Mattson, CEO of Sandler Training®; and Charlie Pettijohn, D.B.A., Director of the Huizenga Sales Institute. Mattson addressed the students in a keynote presentation titled “Don’t Settle—Keep Moving Your Flag!” where he encouraged the students to use the knowledge gained from the Huizenga Business School to be successful in their professional sales careers.
