Health Professions Educational Research Symposium, Jan. 21
The Health Professions Educational Research Symposium (HPERS) is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 21 from 8:30 am -5:00 pm at the Terry Building for all NSU faculty.
The conference theme “Active Learning: Theory, Practice, and Evidence” resonates with all who are eager to learn best practices to enhance student learning. The opening keynote speaker is Todd Zakrajsek, Ph.D., presenting the latest findings in teaching and student learning research in his presentation: Teaching for Learning: Applying Current Research to Improve Learning for Your Students. There are also 18 platform presentations, 12 poster presentations, and 4 workshop sessions. The closing speaker is Michael Simonson, Ph.D. discussing avenues for research in healthcare education in his presentation: Research in the Health Professions: Beyond the Obvious.
