GSCIS Professor Speaks about Innovations in Learning: Boosting Postsecondary Access and Advancement
Martha (Marti) Snyder, Ph.D., and associate professor at the Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences (GSCIS), recently attended a luncheon in Fort Lauderdale for business and education leaders which was sponsored by the Committee for Economic Development and Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance. Opening remarks were given by Mike Petro, Executive Vice President, Committee for Economic Development, Andy Rosen, Chairman & CEO, Kaplan, Inc. and Pat Callan, President, The National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education. Following a keynote address by Bob Mendenhall, president of Western Governors University, Snyder served on a panel with other local experts including J. David Armstrong, president, Broward College, Bob Boegli, director, Sheridan Technical Center, to discuss advancements in national postsecondary online learning, broadening student access, and cutting-edge local programs.
