Get Your Free “Recess Monkey” Concert Tickets Now! Show is Sept. 1
In celebration of National Library Card Sign-up Month, NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library will host a FREE family-friendly concert featuring Recess Monkey, an acclaimed children’s indie music band from Seattle, on Saturday, Sept. 1.
Recess Monkey received rave reviews in Time Magazine, from NPR, and in many other national publications.
The band is composed of three elementary-school teachers who have a bit of a Beatles fixation, and have recorded tracks about birthday parties, pets, and monsters under the bed.
Each Alvin Sherman Library Card holder can get a FREE ticket at the Alvin Sherman Library’s Public Services Desk. The concert schedule includes:
- 1 p.m. – Tickets must be picked up in Library by 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 for entry.
- 1-1:30 p.m. – Pre-show activities and giveaways at NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library
- 2-3 p.m. – Recess Monkey Concert inside NSU’s Miniaci Performing Arts Center
