Ars Flores Concert to Showcase Six Young Musicians, April 20
In partnership with the Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences, the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra will present its annual concert of talented, young artists who earned the prestigious opportunity to perform alongside the orchestra. The concert concludes another successful Ars Flores season.

As part of the college’s Resident Series, the concert will feature performances by six winners from the Young-Artists Concerto Competition, held this past February at NSU. The following students were chosen by a panel of distinguished judges:
Division I Winners (Ages 14–18)
Jacob Hindman Mason (piano)—Miami Arts Charter School
Nash Ryder (violin)—homeschooled
Virginia Mims (voice/soprano)— Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts
Division II Winners (Ages 18–25)
Zhen-Yang Yu (violin)—Lynn University’s Conservatory of Music
Hsin-Hui Liu (piano)—Lynn University’s Conservatory of Music
Daniel Yellin (marimba)—Florida International University
Prior to the evening’s performance, Ars Flores will offer Music for Munchkins: a free, 30-minute mini-concert geared toward children and their families.
