Young Authors Summer Workshop Series ends Aug. 3
This summer the Alvin Sherman Library will be hosting its second Young Authors Summer Workshop Series for teens. Sponsored by the Jason Taylor Foundation and the Erwin and Barbara Mautner Charitable Foundation, the series aims to improve the writing skills of teens through dynamic writing workshops run by published authors and writing professionals.
Each weekly workshop will feature a different topic that engages participants and sparks their creativity while targeting specific writing skills. Workshops have limited space and require registration. The series will also feature opening and closing receptions, and a midway panel on How to Get Published.
Registration for the opening reception begins on June 1st. This program is open to students aged 13-18 (18 year olds must still be in high school to participate). Further information about the Young Authors Summer Workshop Series and other summer programs can be found here
