Wrestling Event Benefits Center for Autism and Related Disabilities, May 8
Want to see a good smackdown for a great cause? ICW Wrestling is hosting “Crossing the Line … Again” Wrestling for Autism on May 8. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
The event takes place at Davie Pal, 4300 SW 57th Ave. in Davie. Tickets cost $7 in advance or $10 at the door. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the UM-NSU Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (UM-NSU CARD), based at NSU’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services.
The UM-NSU CARD currently serves more than 5,000 families in Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe. It provides free family support, outreach, and educational support services to children and adults of all levels of intellectual functioning who have autism and autistic-like disabilities. In operation since 1993, the UM-NSU CARD is a Florida Department of Education project funded by an appropriation from the state legislature.
