Women’s Rowing Team Repeats as Sunshine State Conference Champs!

The No. 3 Nova Southeastern University women’s rowing team captured its second-straight Florida Blue Sunshine State Conference Rowing Championship and fifth conference title in the last six years Saturday. The NSU team took Canal 54 by storm, scoring 20 points.

Both the varsity four and eight won their respective events, posting the top times first in their time trials and then the Grand Finals. The Sharks’ varsity four, featuring: coxswain Heather Clayton (Sr., Mullica Township, N.J.), Stephanie Hauck (So., Somers Point, N.J.), Amanda Craig (Fr., Berlin, N.J.), Megan O’Donnell (Fr., Lake Worth, Fla.) and Sarah Patterson (Jr., Winter Park, Fla.) won with a time of 8:12.30.

Winning with a time of 7:22.60 in the varsity eight boat for NSU was: coxswain Caroline Kelly (So., Seaville, N.J.), Taylor Van Horn (So., Cape Coral, Fla.), Lauren Boudreau (Jr., Waterford, N.Y.), Kelly Scott (Fr., Hobe Sound, Fla.), Victoria Ciccone (So., Brigantine, N.J.),  Jessica Sutter (Sr., Key Largo, Fla.),  Alyssa O’Donnell (Sr., Ballston Spa, N.Y.) Camille Evans (Fr. Orlando, Fla.), and Mallorie Reinecke (Jr., East Amherst, N.Y.).
