Women’s Basketball Team Wins South Region Championship
The NSU women’s basketball team is headed to San Antonio!
The Sharks upset the No. 3 seed — Delta State — 78-56 on Monday, March 18 to become the South Region champions. The team will now move on to the national Elite Eight at the Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio, Texas where they will face the winner of the West Region — either Western Washington University (Bellingham, Washington) or Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, B.C. Canada).
NSU and the winner of the West Region face off in San Antonio on Tuesday, March 26 at 7 p.m.
