Women’s Basketball Player Selected as SSC Player of the Week
Shark junior guard Danielle Robinson was recently recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Presented by VALIC. Robinson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) led the No. 4 Sharks to two convincing victories at the NSU Thanksgiving Classic. She was one of five double-digit scorers in the team’s 94-62 win over Pittsburgh-Johnstown on Friday, with 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting, in 24 minutes of action. The following day, in a 42-point win over Flagler, Robinson scored 15 of the Sharks’ first 24 points in the second half and led all scorers with 22 points. She went 7-for-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from behind the arc, while also pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Complete Release
