Women’s Basketball Player, Carach, Named SSC Player of the Week
NSU’s women’s basketball senior Richelle Carach (Naples, Fla.) has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, presented by VALIC.
Carach averaged a double-double with 19.5 points and 10 rebounds per game to lead the No. 4 Sharks to a pair of victories over top-25 teams during the first weekend of play. The fourth-year player opened the 2013 season with 19 points and seven rebounds in a 90-87 win over No. 22 Washburn. Carach hit 2-of-3 from behind the arc after not attempting a 3-pointer last season. Complete Release
