Women’s Basketball Announces 2013-14 Schedule

Head coach LeAnn Freeland has released the 2013-14 NSU women’s basketball schedule, beginning in early November and featuring three different showcases at the Arena in the Don Taft University Center.

The Sharks, coming off their Elite Eight run a year ago, start off the campaign with the NSU Tipoff Classic, featuring four teams in a two-day doubleheader. The home team will face Washburn on Saturday, Nov. 9 at noon, and then 24 hours later, match up against Stonehill. Fellow Sunshine State Conference school Barry will play those two teams, in reverse order, at 2 p.m. each day.

“Our schedule will be challenging from the start of the season,” said head coach LeAnn Freeland. “We scheduled Stonehill and Washburn on opening weekend to be tested early. They were ranked No. 11 and No. 14, respectively, at the conclusion of last season.”  Complete Release
