Fawzy Ebrahim, a professor at NSU’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services, was crowned the individual winner of NSU’s Biggest Loser program at a ceremony held May 7. Ebrahim lost 54 pounds – 19.8 percent of his weight – to claim the individual award.

The rigorous 16-week program divided employees and students at NSU into three teams and they participated in team and individual workouts with trainers. Contestants also had regular meetings with a nutritionist and kept journals of their daily nutrition and exercise.
