NSU’s Hudson Center of Entrepreneurship and Executive Education in the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship have announced the winners of the 2014 Entrepreneurship Summer Camp and Personal Enrichment Program (E.S.C.A.P.E.).

This year’s winners and their presentation titles are:
Best Content Award – Jonathan Yataco (FriendlyPets)
Best Presentation Award – Remi Orlinsky (Vinyl)
Most Unique Idea Award – Caroline Kapp (It Can Wait)
Best Overall Business Plan Award – Nick Napoli (Buddah Chai)

E.S.C.A.P.E.’s goal each summer is to educate and inspire tomorrow’s entrepreneurs by introducing them to business concepts and ethics in a fun and highly interactive educational environment. The camp program is open to all highly motivated high school students in grades 9-12 who have a passion for business and want to learn more about entrepreneurship.

Led by Entrepreneur Dennis Lucas, M.A., attendees were provided sessions on leadership, with an eye-opening exercise illustrating the challenges of team work and being a leader; fundamentals of the business plan; importance of creating a marketing plan; and financial planning.

Each attendee was asked to deliver an oral presentation on their business to a panel of judges – Huizenga Business School Entrepreneur Council members Nathaniel Pool, Kenneth Rader, and Chad Folkening.
