What’s New at the RecPlex

You asked for it – you got it! Lots of new exercise classes offered at RecPlex! Check it out….

30-30-30
90 minutes of Spinning, Running, and Swimming! Join coach Laura, who has more than 20 years of triathlon-training experience, as she coaches you through a simulation of triathlon-style aerobic class. Must be able to swim. Kickboards are available. Running shoes and goggle are required. Swim cap is strongly recommended. Class limited to 12 people. Sign up is required at 6:15 a.m.

RIPPED Abs and Arms:

Legs need a rest?  No excuse to skip the gym.With this 45-minute upper body and core blast, you will leave leg rested, arms sculpted,and ab-dominally TONED!

Jazzercise®
Burn up to 600 calories in one fun and powerfully effective 45-minute total body low-impact cardio dance class! Choreographed to today’s hottest music, Jazzercise is a fusion of jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga, and kickboxing. Start dancing yourself fit and change the shape of your body today!

F.I.T
Throughout this Functional Interval Training (F.I.T) class, your workout intensity levels will vary to help you achieve optimum workout results. Each interval will provide new challenge to help you improve your functionality, strength, and endurance. The intervals will include a variety of fitness equipment and formats such as Core Stability, Plyometrics, Kickboxing, Strength Training, and more.

Barbell Pump
This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts, and curls. Great music and your choice of weight guarantee the results you came for!

Kick-Core Interval
Need a CORE + CARDIO workout COMBINED? Come try a distinctive interval training class that combines classic kick-boxing blends with challenging core combinations. Try it ONCE, and you will be hooked!

Get Fit 101
Get Fit with Fit 101: It’s FREE – Pick one class or join all three classes:

  • SPIN 101: Tuesday, August 30, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Learn about Spinning and its benefits from one of our certified instructors in this 90-minute spinning orientation class.  
This class will TEACH a beginner or REFRESH the advanced. You will leave with general knowledge on the basic safety fundamentals on proper form and technique, your own individual bike set up, and education on ride profiling and intensity zones.
Only 25 spots available.

  • Yoga 101: Wednesday, August 31, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Yoga is for E-V-E-R-Y-B-O-D-Y but don’t get lost with terms such as “Vinyasa” or
“Shavasana”
Come learn about yoga etiquette, beginner friendly Asanas (Poses), and Pranayama (Breathing
exercises). The mats, blocks, and straps are provided. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to learn the basics of a beginning level yoga practice.

  • Weight Train  101: Thursday, September 1, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

Come join one of our certified Personal Trainers and Group Exercise instructors in this 90- minute weight training orientation class!
You will leave with knowledge and application of the basic weight training safety fundamentals on proper form and techniques for the core, upper, and lower body. A tour of the fitness facility and emphasis on choosing appropriate machines and equipment for basic exercises will give you a sense of direction to start your basic strength training regime right away!

Not sure what to do today? Looking to switch up your routine? Our skillful personal trainers have put together a series of three workouts for you each week—one for lower body, one for upper body, and one for full body. Pick one or do them all.
