West Palm Beach SEC Pharmacy Students Present Poster at International HIV Conference
NSU College of Pharmacy (COP) Class of 2011 students Kailin Li, Elizabeth Trang, Shawnya Walters, and Sheila Yesquen, along with COP faculty Stephanie Ballard, Pharm.D. BCPS, assistant professor, pharmacy practice, from the West Palm Beach Student Educational Center presented their poster: “Does Distance Affect Outcome of HIV Therapy?” to a multidisciplinary audience from around the world at the 2010 International Conference on HIV Treatment Adherence in Miami on May 24.
The conference, sponsored by the International Association of Physicians in Aids Care (IAPAC), aims to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of HIV treatment adherence research, as well as current behavioral and clinical perspectives in a variety of settings. The students expressed their thanks to Ballard for her help and guidance, as well as Mark Glover, Pharm.D., director of the NSU COP program at the West Palm Beach Student Educational Center, who provided support for the students attending this conference.
