Wells Fargo Executive to Appear as Next HCBE Distinguished Lecture Series Speaker, March 31

Joe Atkinson, President, South Florida Region, Wells Fargo and Company

The Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship has announced that Jose (Joe) Atkinson, President, South Florida Region, Wells Fargo and Company, will be the next Distinguished Lecture Series speaker. The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 31, at the Carl DeSantis Building, room 5000, at 10:30 a.m.

In his leadership role, Atkinson is responsible for 147 banking stores and approximately 4,000 team members who are involved in retail banking, mortgages, commercial and business banking, insurance, wealth management, retail brokerage, government/municipal banking and extensive not-for-profit banking services.

Atkinson has more than 30 years of banking experience. Most recently, he was area president for Wells Fargo in the Greater Georgia region. Prior to that, he served in multiple communities in a variety of roles in Texas and New Mexico.

Currently, Atkinson serves on the executive committee for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and is chair of the organization’s leadership programs. He also serves on the Beacon Council Board of Directors, the CEO Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance and the board of directors for the Broward Workshop.
