This Week in Shark Athletics

Men’s Golf
The men’s golf team travels to Eatonton, Ga. for the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College, from March 21-22. The Sharks finished in 10th place last year posting a 34 over par total of 898. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. on both days. 

Women’s Tennis
The women’s tennis team faces Division I Towson University on March 21 at the NSU Tennis Complex. The Sharks are a perfect 2-0 against TU, defeating the Tigers last season, 5-4. NSU takes three days off before hosting Eckerd in a conference match at the NSU Tennis Complex at 2 p.m. on March 25. The Sharks are 4-3 all-time against the Tritons, defeating them 8-1 last season. NSU closes out the week welcoming Florida Tech for a conference match at the NSU Tennis Complex on March 26 at 1:30 p.m. The Sharks own a 6-3 record against the Panthers, but fell to them twice last season.

Rowing
The women’s rowing team heads to the Division II Duals on March 25-26. The Sharks varsity-8 boat captured three wins in last year’s regatta. 

Men’s and Women’s Track and Field
The men’s and women’s track and field teams head the University of Central Florida Invitational from March 25-26. Last year, the men posted nine top-15 finishes while the women recorded five.

Softball
NSU’s softball team travels to Palm Beach, Fla. to take on the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish in a doubleheader on March 23 at 6 p.m. The Sharks are 31-10 all-time against the Sailfish, but fell to PBA in all four meetings last season. The Sharks take two days off before welcoming conference foe Eckerd to the AD Griffin Complex for a three game league series on March 25 and 26. The Friday game will begin at 7 p.m. while the Saturday doubleheader will start at 1 p.m. The Sharks own 27-4 all-time record against the Tritons while defeating EC in all three meetings last season, including a run-rule earlier in the year.

Baseball
NSU’s baseball team will host Rollins College in a three game series from March 26-27. Friday’s game will begin at 1 p.m. while the Saturday’s doubleheader will start at 12 p.m. The Sharks edge the Tars in the all-time series, 18-17, while winning all three meetings last season.
