Time is running out to visit the Alvin Sherman Library Second Floor Gallery to see the 8th Annual African Presence Art Exhibition, And Freedom for All: The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. The exhibition closes on Thursday, Mar. 31.
And Freedom For All is organized by Nova Southeastern University in collaboration with ArtVision and consists of nearly 50 historic photographs from the estate of award-winning photographer Stanley Tretick.
In addition to photos from the March on Washington, the And Freedom For All exhibit will feature some of Tretick’s best-known work as a presidential photographer, such as the iconic photo he took of John, Jr. under President Kennedy’s desk while his father worked.
The exhibition can be viewed: Monday thru Friday: 8 am – 9 pm; Saturdays: 9 am – 8 pm; and Sundays: 11 am – 9 pm.
