Volunteers Needed for NSU Coastal Cleanup, Sept. 21

The 2013 International Coastal Cleanup is Saturday, Sept. 21 and NSU’s Oceanographic Center will host an organized clean-up, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at John U. Lloyd Park, 6503 N Ocean Drive, Dania Beach.

This is an effort to remove harmful debris and garbage from our world’s coastlines. During the 2012 clean up more than 500,000 volunteers picked up 10 million pounds of trash from beaches around the world! You can come as a group or come alone. At the end we will weigh all the trash you collected and do a final tally of all the trash collected for that day.

To register go to http://www.oceanconservancy.org/our-work/international-coastal-cleanup/sign-up-to-clean-up.html.
