Volleyball Powers Through Florida Tech


Woodson goes in for the attack.


The Nova Southeastern University women’s volleyball team (4-12, 1-2 SSC) powered through Florida Tech (9-5, 1-3) in three consecutive sets on the night of Saturday, Sept. 29 at the NSU Arena in the Don Taft University Center. This win marks head coach Steve Wilcosky’s 100th career win with the Sharks.

Offensively, Dana Holger (Fr., Lino Lakes, Minn.) and Sydney Cook (Fr., Miami, Fla.) led the Sharks with 14 and 12 kills, respectively.  Holger was hitting at an amazing .414 percent.  Jordan Pappas (Jr., Naperville, Ill.) added 36 helpers while Paige Boivin (Sr., Plainfield Ill.) led the team defensively with 11 digs. Caitlin Donahue (Fr., Miami, Fla.) and Rachel Woodson (Sr., Rogers Ark.) played well at the net, putting together a combined ten blocks, five and five respectively.
