NSU to host Violence Knows No Boundaries Conference, Nov. 4-5

Join us Nov. 4 – 5 for the Violence Knows No Boundaries conference presented by the Broward Sheriff’s Office and NSU. This conference will raise awareness of the issue of violence, outline the nature and extent of the issue, and provide training and information. A joint effort between NSU and the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the NSU-BSO conference will highlight school violence, domestic violence, sex crimes and workplace violence through several breakout sessions.

The conference will be held at NSU in Commons Residence Hall conference Rooms 123 A and B on Nov. 4 & 5, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. each day. It is geared towards public safety personnel, mental health providers, child protection personnel and school personnel.  Up to 13 CEUs are available in several different tracks for law enforcement and mental health personnel.

Keynote speakers will be:

Nov 4 – Sheriff Al Lamberti – A 33 year veteran of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office

Nov 5 – Gregory M. Vecchi, Ph.D. – Unit Chief of the Behavioral Science Unit (BSU), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
