View Latest Issue of Farquhar Student Journal Online

The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences has released the Winter 2012 edition of the Farquhar Student Journal, an online publication devoted to research and exploration by NSU’s undergraduate students.

Serving as a forum for research and commentary, the journal is open to a variety of forms—original scholarly activity such as quantitative and qualitative research studies, critical commentaries, editorials, and debates concerning pertinent issues and topics.

The Winter 2012 issue features the following articles:

—“Biculturalism: Its Implications for the Family System,” by Josie Augustin
Faculty Mentor: Michael Reiter, Ph.D., associate professor at the college

—“Obsessive Compulsive Disorder: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy via Exposure and Response Prevention,” by Dyona Augustin
Faculty Mentor: Michael Reiter, Ph.D., associate professor at the college

—“The Epistemological Status of Theoretical Simplicity,” by Yineth Sanchez
Faculty Mentor: David McNaron, M.F.A., Ph.D., professor at the college

—“Investigation of the Role of the Family in Anorexia Nervosa Treatment,” by Katie Dabrowski
Faculty Mentor: Michael Reiter, Ph.D., associate professor at the college

Any undergraduate student may submit original work to be considered for the journal. Authors must work with an NSU faculty mentor from the academic division in which the research is conducted. For more information, contact Michael Reiter, Ph.D., editor-in-chief of the journal.
