US Congressman Alcee Hastings Visits Halmos College to Discuss Environmental and Coral Reef Matters with Experts

On August 14, US Congressman Alcee Hastings (Florida District 20) visited the Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography Oceanographic Campus. There he met with experts in coral reefs and marine environmental issues. Included in these talks were HCNSO Dean Richard Dodge, Ph.D., HCNSO Associate Dean Robin Sherman, Ph.D., and Department of Marine and Environmental Sciences Chair Bernhard Riegl, Ph.D.
After this meeting, Congressman Hastings had a tour of the facility and both groups are looking forward to working together in the future.
