University School Students Send 45,000 Books to Jamaica

University School of NSU Upper School students have spent the past several weeks collecting, sorting, packing, and shipping more than 45,000 books to Jamaica. Students working on the Upper School’s “Books for Jamaica” project teamed up with the Upper School organization “The Future Business Leaders of America” to make history.

Both groups then partnered with the Rotary Clubs of Jamaica in their quest to be published in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most books collected in a seven-day period.

The following students played a large role in the book drive and even gave up two days of their spring break to pack and deliver the books:

  • Benjamin Roberts
  • David Roberts
  • Christopher Yang
  • Jayson Garmizo
  • Yang Zhou
  • Zahid Panjwani
  • Noah Lubin
  • Justin Trapana
  • Chris Sammis
