University School Performs “Bye Bye Birdie”
Talented students from University School of NSU will bring their own energetic spin to the 1960s Broadway hit with the presentation of the musical, “Bye Bye, Birdie.” Performances will be held Apr. 8-10 at the Epstein Center for the Arts on NSU’s main campus.
The play is about
The play is about rock ‘n roll star Conrad Birdie getting drafted into the U.S. Army. However, before he is sent off to war, he must symbolically kiss local girl Kim MacAfee. Hilarious things happen in this tuneful musical as Birdie takes over the town of Sweet Apple, Ohio. Songs include hits such as, “Kids,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do,” and “Put on a Happy Face.”
