University School of NSU Celebrates Red Ribbon Week with Clean-Living Activities
University School of NSU students recently celebrated Red Ribbon Week to reinforce clean-living choices and be drug and alcohol free.
Pre-K through 12th grade students participated from Oct. 22 – 25, in a full schedule of activities in the Lower, Middle and Upper divisions, including several events in which Upper School students mentored younger classmates.
During the week students wore red shirts and hats, “crazy” socks, and pledged to be drug-free by signing banners; watching public service announcements and skits about making good choices, and in the Upper School, had the opportunity to try on goggles that simulate the effects of alcohol on coordination.
