University School Dance Teacher Recognized for Excellence in Arts Education
Toranika Washington, University School dance teacher, is among the twelve finalists who have been selected for the 2013 Broward County Arts Teacher of the Year. Finalists have been chosen from throughout Broward County’s public, private and charter schools in each of four categories (dance, theater, music and visual arts) for their contribution and dedication to arts in the classroom. The winners will be announced at Broward County’s 28th Arts Teacher of the Year celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.
