Two Sharks Recognized by SSC Golf Coaches

rp_primary_950x480 SSC Award Two Winners

Aldana Foigel and Richard Mansell

Two Nova Southeastern University golfers, one from the men’s program and one from the women’s, earned All-Sunshine State Conference honors as voted on by the member coaches and announced by the league office on Friday, April 29.
Women’s freshman Aldana Foigel (Plottier, Argentina) was selected to the All-SSC Second Team, while men’s junior Richard Mansell (Staffordshire, England) was an Honorable Mention choice, his second nod in as many years with NSU.
Both honorees are the lowest scorer and earned the highest number of top 10 finishes for their squads this season. Foigel is the 17th-ranked player in all of Division II (the third-highest freshman), and finished five times in a tournament’s top 10. That included a team-best fifth-place showing at the SSC Championships. Mansell too was the low man at the SSC’s, in 11th (finishing just a stroke shy of what would have been his fifth top-10 event), and is ranked 19th nationwide.
