Foigel and Freedman chosen by WGCA as among the best in the South.
On the precipice of the team heading to the Division II National Championship, Nova Southeastern University women’s golfers Aldana Foigel and Jamie Freedman have been chosen as All-Region by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association.
The Shark pair were two of 11 players honored across the South Region for their efforts throughout this season, as chosen by the WGCA DII Awards Committee. Freedman (So., Miami Beach, Fla.) was an automatic selection due to winning the recent Super South Region tournament, and she and Foigel (Fr., Plottier, Argentina) each garnered the first regional honor of their respective career. They are the team’s two lowest scorers on the season.
The NSU squad hits the links for the first day of DII National competition on Wednesday morning in Aurora, Colorado.
