Two Medical Students Win Research Awards

Kristi Ray

NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine student OMS-II Kristi Ray received first-place honors in the Best Care Practices in the Geriatrics Continuum. The conference was held on October 16-19 in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, for her case study entitled “Primary Aldosteronism in a Patient with Refractory Hypertension.”

Julia Skettini

At the same symposium, OMS-II Julia Skettini received a third-place award for her research project entitled “Long-Term Evaluation of Standing Systolic Blood Pressure Using 24-Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring in Patients with Parkinson’s Disease and Symptomatic Neurogenic Orthostatic Hypotension Treated with Droxidopa.”
