Tweens Make A Splash at NSU’s Library
This summer, tweens ages 9-12 made a splash at NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library during the 9th Annual Summer Reading Program. The weekly Totally Tweens program covered topics ranging from manatees, to bubbles, to weather.
Participants personalized hats to help protect from the summer sun, learned about watercolors from a professional artist, found out how banks work, explored fun websites, made their names out of nautical flags, and more.
The library’s summer programs ended on Aug. 7 with a rock and roll puppet show by Mr. Brian and the Boppets.
But, the fun at the Alvin Sherman Library is far from over! Be sure to check the calendar this fall to see what other exciting programs are planned, including the “Libraries are Magical” celebration on Sept. 4 featuring Professor MacGonnigal, food, crafts, a magic show, and great prizes.
Visit the library online at www.nova.edu/library/main or call (954) 262-5477 for more information.
