Turning the Tables on Dental Education; Students Select “Best Waxer”
Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine announces the completion of the inaugural Wax Off competition hosted by the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) NSU’s Student Chapter. On April 8 in the dental simulation lab, dental professors competed for the title of NSU’s “Best Waxer.” Each professor had 30 minutes to wax a tooth and the winner was chosen by the students. This was a chance for the students to become the professors and see dentistry from an academic perspective.
More than 210 tickets were sold and the proceeds were dedicated to ADEA and the Sim Lab Renewal Project. Antonio J. Godoy, D.D.S., College of Dental Medicine assistant professor of prosthodontics, was crowned the wax off champion.
