Track Athlete Darren Hendricks Named Peach Belt Conference Field Athlete of the Week

Nova Southeastern University men’s track and field team collects consecutive weekly conference honors.Senior Shark Darren Hendricks from North Port, Fla.is this week’s Peach Belt Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, April 5.

Hendricks finished in third place in both the hammer throw and the discus at the Embry-Riddle Spikes Classic.  In the hammer, he launched a toss 51.09m, his second-longest throw of the year and his second NCAA provisional qualifying distance.  In the discus he is just one-thousandth of a meter off his best throw of the season, which is also second-longest in the PBC this year.

The Sharks look ahead to continue their success as a team on Friday, April 8 at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla.
