Track and Field Team Volunteers for Seussfest
The Nova Southeastern University track and field programs participated in the Alvin Sherman Library’s third annual Seussfest.
Volunteering with this event for the second straight year, the student-athletes dressed up as Thing One and Thing Two, among other characters, and took pictures with the children. The event was a celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. The event served as an avenue for the track team to engage with the community and collaborate with the library’s community efforts.
“It was a great opportunity for the track team to assist in Dr. Seuss’ birthday,” said All-South Region runner Quannisha Allen (Jr., St. Augustine, Fla.). “We enjoyed seeing many kids smile as we dressed as the Cat in the Hat, Thing One and Thing Two. We look forward to participating next year.”
